I have 2 wii's

older boot2
newer no boot2 possible, not 64+

On BOTH wiis
-All ios updates cIOS222/223/202 249 rev14 are the same on both
- 4.1E
-mplayer
-wadmanager
-snesx
-All USBLoaders, Neogamma etc.
and various other apps can read/see my usb HDD when connected on BOTH wiis indivdually

so both wiis have the same setup (NO cIOScorp, NO modchip... ONLY softmod on both e.g. USBloader, Neogamma etc.

.....BUT on PC with flashfxp via ftpii (latest)

On the NEWER wii I can see the USB1/2 folder (it mounts my USB HDD fine)
On the OLDER wii it does not see/read my USB connected HDD although reads fine via all other apps

Any help/advice/pointers on what the reason for this could be, if not then no worries after all it is a portable HDD lol

Thanks in advance

have you not installed USB2.0 IOS202 support one wii and not the other either thru Hermes cIOS222/223 installer or MPlayer CE's USB2.0 support installer(the same as hermes pretty much)

you an app called signcheck it will tell you what ios's you have on your wii's

I am sure I have done that,

but I will double check tomorrow with signcheck, and maybe install the cIOS 202 again, but as i said mplayer-ce reads the USB in both wiis already...but yes will confirm tomorrow when i get back home.

Many Thanks Squire

mplayerce will read off a FAT32/NTFS partition anyway at USB1.1 if you dont have the IOS202 installed, but im sure some apps need IOS202 to even read off the HDD, have you tried both USB pots btw

what a waste of time, thank you nonetheless, but il stick to the port in outer without USB2 via ftpii...not a major issue really
