So I ripped my USA version of animal crossing and installed it as a cia on my Japan N3ds. I then used the region emulation to have it play from the USA. The problem is that the game appears to be both Japanese and USA. All the animals speak english but all the signs and inputs are using japanese. I tried to change the catchprase of one of the animals and it is only 4 characters long (similar to the Japanese game).
How does this happen and are there any fixes?
