I just watching this video, CCTV footage caught the moment one tornado hit a car park in Alabama.
If you look carefully at CCTV footage it look like they also caught a person? - probably.... [IMG]

Scary... Despite that I love watching tornado videos. They are just awesome and scary!

They should design tornado proof building - those houses on the video look like a big bad wolf could blow them over!

Its not as easy as you think to make a building that can withstand a building. It would take alot of reinforcement and money. Also the building would have to be built from scratch and can't be made out of brick, woof ad do on. It would have to be a sold structure with reinforced steel or a bucker for it to be completely safe.

In most cases, the government does build the houses, people and contractors do. at the very most, the government offers loans or grants to pay for part of the house being built. Also such houses that can withstand extreme tornados aren't well, very pleasing on the eyes. Most people look for a nice looking house sadly, not if it can stand a tornado.

Lots of places in the US never see tornados and rarely would ever see a hurricane, no earthquakes, wildfires etc etc...Like the areas I have lived all my life in New england. Plus it doesn't get all humid and gross up here either.
Ohhh we get snow...but that rarely kills anyone unless they are speeding on top of it.

I suggest people build there instead...I don't understand why anyone would make their home in a tornado zone.

www.extremeinstability.com if you want to see some fantastic storm chaser imagery with some fine shots of tornadoes, clouds, and lightning.
