Hacking URGENT HELP

i desolderd my ds lite power switch (because it is borken) i soldered the new one on and it wont work every thing is fine i took a wire and connected two points of the switch and it turned on but the switch wont work any help would be greatly appritiated

Perhaps the switch is broken. Test it.

Perhaps you soldered the wrong thing. I DONT KNOW. But do what kelly says. Or contact Nintendo.

lol i hope its not broken i just got it. but how would i test it wwith a multimeter?

nm i bridged two points and it works fine thanks any way
