should I sell my ezflashIII and get the omega?

I like the ezflashIII because, fast loading roms (not instant, but faster than ezflashIV). Hard reset key combo back to GUI is nice. The interface is nice. With the linker, I can extract saves from real carts. Also, it fits real nice in the console and it’s orange.

I don’t like the ezflashIII because, I need to use Windows xp in a virtual machine to load roms to it. The process has not aged well. I’ve changed the battery and it’ll run dry still. The cart needs to be charged for 8 hours every few days. I’m able to write the save if I hard reset with combo keys of power on/off. This is a “work-around" to not lose my save because of a dry battery. Also, I don’t like the filename.gba.

The only main practical reason I'd say to keep the EZ3 is to keep the linker for backup/restoring save games, but GBA Backup Tool is mostly (entirely?) compatible if you have an NDS and a DS flash cart. The EZ Omega is a bad/tight fit--it doesn't fit in my Gamebox Advance clone--so, I've no idea if that's a deal breaker for you. Personally, I'd keep the EZ3 and buy the EZ Omega separately. But, then, I'm something of a hoarder. I would tend to say you won't be disappointed with the EZ Omega. In the end, though, it's really up to you and what your needs are.
