so here is the quick rundown

I want to install cios on my wii. What happens if i have cios installed (using cioscorp) and i want to update my wii? Will the update just remove the cios files? Or wll it become a bricked clusterfuck (pardon the language)?

Cioscorp =/= cios's like herme's or waniniko's.
Anyways, I have never used cioscorp before, but It will remove wanin's cios.(Not for sure about herme's)

cIOSCORP will most certainly not remove waninkoko's cIOS, you obviously have no idea what you speak of.

waninkokos, hermes, and cIOSCORPs cIOS's all install into different locations, so they can all be coexist at the same time.

To answer the question of the OP:
Updating your Wii will bring you to 4.2
4.2 will overwrite wanins IOS249 and all Hermes v4 cIOS
IOS250 / Hermes v5 / cIOSCORP will not be overwritten due higher version number

It should not brick the Wii at all.
