Hacking Updating to 4.0 from 3.54 brick

Well, i was using this guide ( http://webrewwii.blogspot.com/2009/04/syst...stallation.html ) as i heard it was reliable (obviously not).
I did everything to the tee on that guide YES i had preloader 0.29 on before i did it, No i didnt BootMii back up silly me... Not that i think it can help and basically i got to step 10 and everything was cool. it restarted and showed me the new menu and everything, fine, bless, cool. Then i do 11-18 and everything went cool until it restarted itself. Ever since then Nothing comes up on the screen when i turn it on. Not even my TV pics it up as in input, no health screen no nothing...

Im F'ed aint i ?

Will i have to send it into nintendo. ?

(03) You should now have three new folders, in your "apps" folder ("cIOS rev8", "Firmware 4_0", and "IOS60 Patcher").

IOS60 patcher = stub ios60... = dead wii...

Can preloader be activated?

Did you install bootmii as boot2 so can you get to Homebrew??

No mate i thought preloader would have been enough, people in the thread i was reading was saying all you need to do is restart the wii while holding the reset button, but yet im still standing here holding it typing with my foot.

well the guide did work before nintendo release 4.2 and make ios 60 -> stub
i'm afraid without preloader/boot2 bootmii , you have to send your wii to nintendo

Is it a charging thing ?
I also had a fualty lense that wouldnt read DL discs ... can i send it in for that and blame it on them that thats why it bricked ?
1 thing i dont have a serial code for it and 2 i dont have the box...
