I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I recently tried using WiiSCU to update my shop channel after being recommended from here. But now that I've done it, whenever I try to start the shop channel, the system just resets. Nothing is bricked or malfunctioning fortunately, so anybody have any ideas?

I have 3.2 firmware btw.

I had the same problem a couple days ago...

If its not made yet do a nand backup with bootmii.

Update your shop channel to v18 with WiiSCU 0.23
Update your IOS60 with WiiSCU 0.23

Thats what I did and my shop shannel is working again.

I was wrong...

I've made a list of installed titles on my console with title lister and my shop channel is using IOS61 21.29 (v5405) with the v18 of the shop channel.

Don't do this if you haven't made a backup of your nand with bootmii before.

So get that version of IOS61 with WIISCU and install it.

Hope this will fix your problem.

I found this topic similiar to my own, so I wanted to ask what may be a dumb question. I am on 4.1 and am looking to update my wii shop channel (I have unspent points waiting for me :-) I have downloaded wiiscu 0.23. Which of the files included in the zip needs to be on my sd card? Do I use the homebrew channel to lauch this? Thanks in advance for any help! I hated to start a new thread when this question seemed similiar to my own, I hope this is all right. Thanks!

P.S. I alreadly have bootmii installed and I have done a nand backup.
