question is regarding R4i-sdhc.com, the 3DS version
to play it in the most recent 3DS, you are supposed to insert it into a ds lite to update.
My question is: let's say a friend who lives in a different country doesnt have access to a ds lite. Can he send me his R4i, I update it using my ds lite and my own micro sd memory card, and send it back? and then he can use his own micros sd card to play games?
or does the update have to be done using the same micro sd card that will be used to play games?
sorry if question is confusing, I will clarify:
Friend in different country has updated his 3DS, causing it to display an error with r4i card.
he doesn't have a ds lite to update his R4i
He sends me his R4i only, no microsd card.
I will update using my ds lite, and send it back
he will upload games and the R4i firmware on his microsd card, and try to play on his 3DS
will this work? or the update has to be done on the same microsd card that you will be playing games from?
