    Hello Community,
I'm thinking seriously to update my PS4 Slim (CUH-2216B Spider man bundle) from 6.72 to 7.02 because i read that there is no KPs at all with 7.02
Well! to be honest, i'm very ready to face tons of memory messages and passing them with"OK" and avoid KP, than a fast exploit with some KPs which i'm facing now with 6.72
So! what do you think ? is it really worth to update from 6.72 to 7.02 and "say goodbye" to KPs ?

No, don't update. I have a phat on 7.02 and tbh it's nowhere near 6.72/5.05 stability. On average you'll get around 5-10 out of memory errors to get webkit exploit working, and kernel exploit success rate is around 50%. So yeah it's not as stable as what you think.

The stability get lower the higher you go. You want to be as close to 5.05 as possible. If you want to try improve your chances, some people say that leaving the console on for a few minutes before trying to run an exploit can improve your chances. Could just be placebo but who knows.

If you clear your cookies and website cache everytime before you turn off the ps4 on 7.02 you will have much better exploit chances. I also do that for my 6.72 to prevent failed Jailbreaks. Sleep mode is just not an option tho if you care about that. As for game compatibility Atelier Ryza 2 is the only game I know that never got a backport for 6.72/7.02, but did get 1 for 5.05

Don't update. I don't get kernel panics anymore after I found a method which works for me and never had it crash after successfully enabling the JB. The worst that can happen is "the jailbreak has failed" error (I've had it happen twice) and I just reset the PS4 after that. This is what I'm doing:

    1. USB port 1, empty. USB port 2 has a USB hub with a USB stick that has Linux connected to it with another USB drive which has pkg files and roms. (I don't run PS4 games from a USB drive, I just install them straight to the PS4)

    2. I have my PS4 connected to a wifi powerboard (https://www.amazon.com/Kasa-Smart-Power-Strip-TP-Link/dp/B07G95FFN3) which I use with google home and has a few other things plugged into it which I power on/off with voice activation. This is optional but it saves me from going behind the TV and unplugging my PS4 and plugging it back in again when it was KPing all the time.

    3. I don't use the browser at all and my cache/cookies are clear from the get go. I installed my JB menu to my user guide with an ESP8266. You can get them on aliexpress for less than $2 and you only need to use it once. There are .bin files on this board and Modded_Warfare has a guide to set it up this way:

I currently use darkmodder's menu for 6.72 because the Linux payload works everytime but you can use PS-Phive just the same. The bin file for it is on this board.

    To use the JB:

    1. Open the user guide and run it as per usual.

    2. Always shut the PS4 down properly through the menu.

    3. I tell my wifi powerboard to unplug the PS4 and plug it back in after every time I shut down using google home (The powerboard has an app as well to do this from your phone) from either Orbis or Linux.

Since using this method, I have not had a KP once and I use my PS4 almost every day. When I was using the browser I would have to unplug and plug in my console again every time it KPed which was probably 1 in 3 times. Until a better method is created, I am very happy with this setup. The main things for a stable 6.72 are using only the user guide with the newest menu available and not using the browser method. I don't have to clear my cache/cookies at all, re-cache the menu and it works basically every time on the off chance that it fails. (which has never been a KP) Having minimal devices plugged into USB drives and unplugging and plugging the PS4 back in after a shutdown when you are done with it.

It sounds like overkill but hey it works.

Do not even try. Stay on 6.72 and do not go up. Make sure to use Master Leeful v10 host.

Yeah I thought as much. It makes me want to tinker with different hackable PS4s to find solutions.

I also disconnect my ps4 slim everytime I don't use it but don't use voice command, mechanical power strip which does the same, only difference you do from me is not having an external hdd connected whenever I boot the exploit, also use an USB hub with button on off, I had already tried connecting my external hdd throguht it, but ps4 only likes it direct connect with the USB hdd won't work.

I use esp8266 as well, this way is impossible for accidental unwanted updates.

I'm also using darkmodder exploit one of the best out there, also you're doing the correct procedure, all electronics gears should not be left on when on standby because internal ic and caps are always receiving voltage and their life span can be reduced.

But you're using a ps4 pro different apu, different components probably it works better on pro models

Yeah I see. What I found was that it felt like you were trying to minimise KPs at first. I just assumed they were inevitable so I exhausted every option in terms of menus and procedures and as I learned more about what worked and what didn't I just optimised what I already did and somehow it's like 99%. It was incredibly tedious too lol. So the way things are, some models will only get so far in terms of success?

I think that hosts that uses javascript messages like when we jailbreak the console a message shows saying for example ''jailbreak is ok" and we have two options click ok or close the bowser...i think that this kind of pages gives the opportunite to avoid kp if the jailbreak failed we click ok and we can rest the ps4 safely...hakkuraifu's host works like this.
So any other hosts that uses this method ?? PS: i'm on 6.72

When you update they don't go away. The higher the firmware the more of them you'll see.

I rarely get them on my 6.72. When I have to do the exploit on 7.55 it takes hours to work usually.

    Leeful's ps-phive or v10, best 6.72 hosts IMO.
