Hacking >>> Updating from 3.3U to 4.1 for Internet Channel...

Hi everyone i currently have:

-Wii chipped with D2Pro modchip
-System Menu 3.3U
-No other homebrew installed ever.


I want to update from 3.3 to 4.1 so I can download the free upgraded Internet Channel!
I want to be able to install VC/WW Wads after I update and launch from SD.


1) Someone recommended I install BootMii beta3 because i need to have HBC to install vc/ww wads in the future using wad installer 2.1?
2) Is there any sort of IOS i need to install before updating?
3) Does upgrading my system menu affect my modchip in any way?

1. Bootmii is so you can recover if you mess up.

so does this mean i can just update from nintendo after i install cios 14?

i've seen some posts that say i should use Waninkoko's upgrader instead?

wans updater doesnt patch ios60

if you can install bootmii as boot2, then do it

quickest way would be to use dop-ios to install ios60 with trucha bug, and then install a system menu 4.1 wad of your region
