Hacking updated wii from 4.1 to 42 using nintendo update

hi am new to all this forum stuf so sorry if ther is already a post about this problem my mate updated his wii from 4.1 to 4.2 with nentendo update his wii still works but can only play origanal games can not play back ups any more all i no about his wii is that he had home brew coscorp 3.4 and preloader0.29 i no the update would have stoped coscorp from working and home brew i have been told by some one that i can us stickys 4.2 guied to get every thing back as the update would have made his wii a vergin is this true or will i get the no vulnerable IOS error when trying to reinstall every thing as coscoup will have changed must of the ios hope some one can help or poast me a link to follow any help and info would be gtate

Yup, just follow the 4.2 guide at the top of the stickies as if it were a virgin Wii and you'll be good to go.
