Got this from reddit seems to have fixed it

I'm using latest Atmosphere (1.7.0) and original firmware version 17.0.1. I fixed it with editing /atmosphere/hosts/default.txt file in sd card. Add following lines to the default.txt and restart.

At least you got an error code. I get a black screen... I also just updated from 16 to 18. Update hekate and atmosphere

It's still an issue or you fixed it?

You may have a different issue than me if it's not fixed, but you could try what I posted. I think mine was somehow internet related.

You applied new Atmosphere and patches right? At first I updated the console without applying anything and I couldn't boot, luckily I could get into Hekate and update the files.

Yeah I tried that as well. I'm going to delete the atmosphere folder and start new to see if that helps.

Are you using the correct fusee.bin? You have to use a modified one for 18.1 found in the patches thread.

This only applies if you're trying to boot directly without using Hekate.

Sounds like your guys issues was you had prod.info blanked. Which
Since atmosphere 1.7 (whatever ofw came out at that time) has caused issues. Requiring you to use dns to block nintendo servers
