Alright. I've dusted off my wii and told myself that it was a good idea to update it since it's been a while and that wiped my homebrew channel. I'm down to 4.3U and Bannerbomb and whatnot doesn't work. I've tried the smash bros trick but that didn't work for me. Somehow, it's not loading the application and I have no custom stages. I took the liberty of wiping my whole smash bros. data and triple checking for custom stages and there is none to be found.

Now i'm down to nothing. I was wondering what I could do.. if there was a way to reinstall homebrew channel again and be a happy camper.

Help me out, that'd be greatly appreciated.

    -RB.

It's brand new but I didn't format it to begin with.. maybe that's the problem?

    Formating didn't work either.

    Let's recapitulate the steps here.

Format the SD card to FAT16/32
Unpack the 42mod.zip on the card
Unpack the 43.mod.zip on the card (overwriting the previous files)
Wipe your saves if theres any
    Insert the SD card
    Boot the game
When it asks to create a save file.. do I click yes or no?
Then I go to vault and it should boot up.

Anything I'm not doing right or not in a correct order?

You don't need 42mod if you are on 43... [IMG] I don't think that is your problem, but it could be.

Try creating a save file, then delete the custom stages (not the game save). Then restart the game, and go to vault.

That didn't work either. It's so very strange. The stage builder just works normaly without glitching to the installation process as if the data on the SD card wasn't doing its job.

    Heres the steps I've used

    1. Format the SD to FAT16/32
    2. Extract 43mod.zip on the SD
3.Insert the SD in the Wii
4.Delete my smash bros brawl data
    5. Start the game
    6. Create a save.
    7. Go in the vault to delete the 3 default stages.
    8. Reboot the game
    9. Go back in vault

Thats what I did and nothing happened.

I'm not sure why this is not going on like it's supposed to. Any answers to my problem? I'd really like my Homebrew channel back.

There has to be something i'm missing. Seriously! It just won't boot up! Are you sure 43mod.zip is the only thing that has to be on the SD Card once formated? I might just end up being so pissed that i'll end up renting lego indiana jones and give that one a try.

You've updated to the latest version and got it running?

Heres an odd thing I've noticed.

I've tried viewing the files in the SD card but theres only the Indiana pwn files and Yu-Gi-Oh but none of the Smash Bros files. Odd.

Is there files missing in that pack i've downloaded ? Can you pack me the files which are supposed to appear on the SD card?

    edit: Heres what I see.

    edit #2:

I've been browsing in the zip file and heres what I think I understand and what I think is missing..

There is 5 folders in the "title" folder. RYOJ, RYOE, RLIP, RLIJ, RLIE.

    RYOJ is probably Yu-Gi-Oh Jap
    RYOE is probably Yu-Gi-Oh Ntsc
    RLIP: Indiana Jones Pal
    RLIJ: Indiana Jones Jap
    RLIE: Indiana Jones NTSC

There is no smash bros files though.

The smash files are in the app folder... [IMG]

I just tried it, and it worked for me. I deleted the save, started the game, created a save, deleted the custom stages, went back to the game menu (not the wii menu even), and went to stage builder, and it started. When did you update your wii? After 9/7? Perhaps they blocked it in the new update somehow (doubtful). I will update via nintendo tomorrow and try it again.

I've updated my wii this afternoon. This could be it though but I really hope I can find a solution. I've tried countless of times to redo the solution and nothing seems to do the trick. The loader doesn't go off. Keep me updated please.

Could it be by any chance that you are using a SDHC (above 2GB) SD card? Don't know about the support that Smash Stack has with normal or SDHC SD cards, but maybe that could be the problem? [IMG] Sorry if I'm having it all wrong.

An SD card of 2GB or less. Brawl cannot read SDHC cards.
