Hi there I was wondering if anyone could help. I recently updated my switch to update 8.1.0. But now I have updated my switch my emunand has gone as it use to show up in my sxos options saying it was enabled and now says my system firmware says I'm on 5.1.0 I updated it so I could use the new SNES app. I have updated before without this happening so was wondering if you may know why this has happened and if I should make another emunand and update again? Hope that all made sense

If you updated emunand to 9.0.0 then you would have to wait for support, there is no way to boot into emunand if it on 9.0.0 firmware.

AHH ok then that makes sense then. Should I update my firmware again then as I'm guessing it's updated the emunand as it doesn't say the correct firmware in system settings

Well if your emunand is on 9.0.0 then just leave it alone, wait for sx os support, I doubt you want to rebuild another emunand.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
