Target may very well have just accidentally leaked that 2014's Shadow of Mordor could be getting a sequel. The retailer lists the game, along with boxart and a detailed description of a "Gold Edition". Titled Shadow of War, the boxart shows previous developer, Monolith Productions will be coming back to work on the sequel. The Target description for the Gold Edition details that there will be at least 4 story expansion DLCs. The game's Nemesis system will also be returning, alongside new weapons, abilities, and armor. The story DLC description makes note of there being a new playable character that players can take control of, as well as being able to forge a new "ring of power". There is no release date or official word from WB Games at this time. Source EDIT: WB Entertainment has officially issued a press release, announcing the game. Shadow of War will release on Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10, Steam, PS4, and PS4 Pro on August 25, 2017. A gameplay trailer will be released on March 8th.
