Ok my mom bought this game off of amazon and when my brother went to play it it said that to play it he had to update to play the game. So i went and tried starfall to get pass the update but when the game is run it just goes to a black screen. Could someone shed some light on this. Also would it just be easier and safer to update?

Just update. No reason to be on 3.2 any more. Starfall will go away, but it's not needed any more. PreLoader can do everything StarFall did, but it's actually up to date (and not specific to any particular SM).

Update via Nintendo (the disk) and once it's done, whatever homebrew stops working, follow the guide in my sig to get you up and running with all the new stuff.

PreLoader will let you skip disk updates too. But if the game isn't working, it likely needs one of the newer IOSs that come with the new SM. So you can stick with 3.2 and try to manually install whatever it wants, or you can grab a Nintendo update and let it fix it for you and just hack your Wii with all the newest stuff.

Of course it is.. now you're asking stupid questions. Why on Earth would we recommend you something that would harm your Wii?

Ohh wow thats weird the game left it at the same version as the system was at before. Maybe because i had a different Ios installed because of the backup loader?
