Hello people!
I have a 3.65 vita that are currently banned (because I hacked my ps3 and screwing up with that) and I would like to know if it's still possible to update games with it?
If not, is there a way to manually update them?
Ofc Henkaku is out of the question since I'm on 3.65.
I would also like to not update the vita itself if possible.

Another question more or less related, I have almost all of my game backuped with qcma, which is fortunate because I can't download digital one's anymore so I would really be fucked if I haven't back them up before. But if I format my vita to put another account, and later go back to my current one, will I still be able to use these backup?

Thanks in advance for you help :)

Yeah, updates do not require a psn account.
(Use vita update checker to find the fw version)

I m sure they banned your account and ps3 only, so you can make a new account on your vita.

Nope, your games are "gone", if you format your vita or you change something, you cannot activate your games again, BUT you will be able to use them with a new account when theflow releases henkaku.

Use qcma to make a backup.

3.65 is recommended until a new bootloader exploit is found.

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know :) I just hope that I can update the games without updating the vita. Well at worst I'll update and buy an used vita later for henkaku.

Well too bad =/ Guess I'll wait for henkaku on 3.65 or to get another vita before making a new account. Don't want to lose my games and saves ahah

Updates do not require a fw update, i mean you can download and install them even on a 1.80 vita, but you will need to update your fw if the update requires an higher fw and you want to play that game.

As i said you can check the fw version with vita update checker

Oh didn't know that ahah. Well gotta do it when I'll got my game tomorrow. I'll check the firmware with update checker meanwhile.
Thanks for the answer :)

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling

LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market

and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

AI assisted game creation might become a thing

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
