Hacking Update Dashboard 2.0.16747.0 to Latest Dashboard 2.0.17559.0 with ixtreme lt+ 3.0

I've decided to use my old JASPER Xbox 360 again after 5-6 years but i need to know if it's safe to update to the latest dashboard with the ixtreme lt+ hack, i don't want to reflash the ixtreme again after the dashboard 13599 issue (that reflashed the drive and i had to reflash the ixtreme).
