It's not unthinkable that menuhax and browserhax might be restored because they've been fixed before. Just don't count on it. If they do get fixed, it's a nice surprise.I wonder if they're salvageable entrypoints?
You can just use the demo insteadYo, SmashHax has been dead since the 1.1.3 patch since it fixed the beacon issue. You can still go back to the first version of the game and load it that way by deleting the system update, but no one wants to because Smash is a fun game.
10.5 payloads do work on 10.6, because the native_firm wasn't updated, but updating the payloads is the safe thing to do. Menuhax is more likely to be salvaged, because Nintendo only changed a path in the Theme Shuffle to fix it, and therefore it can be restored with a quick workaround. With browserhax, they have to workaround a little more because the browser itself was updated.OP says OoThax and Ninjhax both work "with updated payload", but I haven't seen anywhere that the payloads have in fact been updated. Is that correct?
I have also seen, but without confirmation, that OoThax with 10.5 payload actually works on 10.6. Has anyone found this to be true?
Edit: okay, I see smealum has now updated the payloads, as well as a minor hax update.
Menuhax/Browserhax still not working.
I wonder if they're salvageable entrypoints?
Browserhax is dead, and menuhax is dead. The post explains this. The only entry points that work are the game-based ones like Ninjhax and Oot3Dhax.The homebrew launcher work in 10.6.0.31 ? The browserhax and the menuhax ?
Truly. They didn't even try too hard. I expect we'll see Menuhax and Browserhax up and running again before March.Another f***in unuseful update... Please Nintendo, admit this: HACKERS>YOU
Well i have OOThax 2.5 but i cant go into Homebrew launcher on 10.6, i need Cubic ninja to reinstall OOThax?
did you update your payload?
Idk how i have to do it :S im really lost.

from what i understand, you need to install a new payload with the oothax installer before updating your firmware. in which case, yes, it seems like you'd need another entrypoint/homebrew enabled 3ds to install a new payload on your oot card
alternatively, if you own a savedongle or a powersave, you could use those to update your oot hax
I found a Powersave how i can update it? Thanks btw
The homebrew menu is seperate from the entry point. The entry point just starts up the code. Its self sustaining from there. You can just go into the launcher and upgrade the payload from there. And If you mess up, you can always build a smashhax beacon.did you update your payload?
while that is true, new firmware means new payload. and in the case of oothax, that means having to update the hax before you update the firmware. The homebrew menu is seperate from the entry point. The native_firm wasn't updated, so the 10.5 payloads should work on 10.6 in theory.while that is true, new firmware means new payload. and in the case of oothax, that means having to update the hax before you update the firmware.
he seems to have only oothax to enter homebrew, but he still has 10.5 payload on his oot, thus, he cant enter it on 10.6 anymore
where do i get ntr 3.3? :\Yes, I updated, no I'm not stupid, I just only care about homebrew to the point of emulators and save editing. Plus, menuhax with fixed with path editing in the theme shuffle, so that should be possible for yellows8 to reverse engineer. Anyway, here's the status of homebrew from personal testing and gathered information:
ENTRY POINT EXPLOITS:
Browserhax= DEAD on 10.6 firmware. All systems, no exceptions, etc.
Menuhax= DEAD on 10.6 firmware. All systems, no exceptions, etc.
OoT3Dhax= WORKING on 10.6 firmware, with updated payload.
Ninjhax= WORKING on 10.6 firmware, with updated payload.
Smashhax= WORKING (most likely) The update didn't contain a patch for this, but honestly it's the least convenient method of homebrew thus far, even worse than browserhax, so nobody really uses it unless an emergency arises. (Ex: exploits being closed off, etc.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EMUNANDS/CUSTOM FIRMWARES/OTHER
RxTools= WORKING
NTR CFW 3.3= WORKING
NTR Plugin= WORKING (Confirmed on Gateway & ReiNAND)
(Working Emunands means that when you update the Emunand itself to 10.6 firmware, it works. I don't know why you would have an emunand on the latest sysNand in the first place, but okay.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Emunands work, I think, but don't quote me on that unless I update the post. Ironhax is still KIA, so please don't ask about that. Anyway, there you go!
