Untethered Jailbreak for IOS versions up to 8.3
An untethered jailbreak for IOS versions up to 8.3 has been released (specifically versions 8.3, 8.2 and 8.1.3 which does mean the iphone 4 is excluded) by the TaiG hacking group. It is presently a bit rough and ready with a few components not quite there, Cydia Substrate being among the more prominent with issues.
If you are going to do it then you are advised not to hang around as IOS 8.4, which is said to close the hole, is just around the corner.
At time of writing it is still Windows only but OSX users can expect a version in fairly short order.
