Epic Games, behind the monumental Unreal Engine, have released full and complete UE4 support for the Nintendo Switch. The previous version, 4.15, only consisted of experimental support for it, however, the latest update, 4.16, fixes that.

Epic also mentions that those with Nintendo Switch developer status can see the "full range" of features, through their exclusive forums.

It means UE4 games will be pretty easy to develop/port for Switch.

Develop? Yes. Port? No, not with the specs gap in mind, but some can surely be downported.

UE4 has some great scaling, I could easily port a game running on PC at Epic to a Console running on Low.

It does have great scaling, UE always did. Unfortunately, the Switch doesn't offer "console-level performance", it's on the level of a tablet. Not all UE games can be easily ported to an, essentially, mobile platform - we have to make peace with that being the case. Support is nice though, as UE has excellent tools and really facilities development.

Well it is running the PC version of UE, but I guess that would be considered pedantic.

We now have two big engines that work completely on Switch now, this is great news. The other engine is snowdrop.

This doesnt mean that the Swich will have more 3rd Party support but hopefully a lot of them will consider to release something...

Don't listen to foxi4, hes just a hater and wants to put a downer on it all because hes spent hundreds on a high spec PC for performance measures/reasons! its fantastic news for some great games on the horizon.

uhhm, foxi4 is essentially right though. just because the switch supports unreal engine doesnt mean that all ue games will be able to run on it

The previous benchmark for most powerful portable console was Vita, and Switch at least beats out PS3 on the home console scale. Tablets are defined by, well, being tablets without controllers included or an OS built for gaming. Of course, quality titles developed for Switch could potentially be beneficial to the mobile market in the future.
