all of these are franchises that fit the bill of "first ≠ best" (and these also may be an unpopular opinion on their own, like toy story 1 not being the best toy story (it's 2)), not saying they aren't good tho
eh, sonic 1 was kinda mid actually, especially compared to 2, cd, and 3&K

I'm not debating hindsight, you can't compare series evolution like sonic 1 to sonic 2 or even botw to totk or even the first zelda.

Mkwii was supposed to be an evolution but it plays worse than the gamecube and n64 entries. It is horrible in every way.

i think those were separate opinions
and idk, mkwii has wheelies, bikes, inside drift, tricks, and funky kong
but maybe it's just because i grew up with it that i think it's the best and that it plays well

Only gaming franchise I can think of that did peaked with the first installment was PVZ, though the garden warfare games do make a good close second, but I still think PVZ1 has the edge due it's replay value. And as much I love PVZ2 sometimes, they really should've let the game die years ago before it got progressively worse in every aspect. PVZ3 is just disappointing and it could've been something decent if they quit updating PVZ2 and focused on this. (Hell I didn't even knew this game actually released until Zackscottgames uploaded yt shorts about it) And battle for neighborville was just alright, like a 6/10. Oh and Heroes was great, but it literally suffered the opposite of 2 and died too soon.

i suppose they're, as the yung'uns (younger than me and qwerty even) say, "edging us"
pardon the phrase, i just think it's dumb how every now and then there's new slang that we say people who say it need to stfu
used to be yeet and "he need some milk", then "what the dog doin" and (forgor some other 2021 memes), now it's gyatt, skibidi, edging, and sigma (strangely 3/4 of those are from 2022 and STILL being said for some fucking reason)
i mean, this slang is dumb, but the point is that the cycle is lame
