Unofficial G6 Fatlib brings new homebrew to G6!

Scummvm DS & DSdoom compiled for G6

​

An unofficial G6 Fatlib has been developed by gbadev.org member Puyo which increases G6 homebrew compatibility.



This new Fatlib has already been compiled into unofficial versions of Scummvm DS and DSDoom by another member by the name of theli; allowing the hombrew to run on the G6. Write capabilities have so far not yet been written, however ScummvmDS both runs and saves fine on the G6 using this Fatlib.

I don't get it, I swore I've ran Scumm DS on my G6 before? Monkey Island 1 ran fine I think.

yes but the game size was limited to 32mb... so you could not play most of the games.

EZ4 has driver for read and write now which works... it's only a matter of time before they are integrated in fatlib.. it all happened in november month!

somehow I missed it and read it yesterday... but I'm really happy now that finally EZ will get some homebrew support too

The thing is, THEY HAVEN'T GOT WRITE SUPPORT YET.
This just shows how much the G6/M3 team care about the homebrew community: they let homebrew coders do the work.

Is there any chance of this being implemented properly into a G6 update? I'm not sure I like the idea of having to put this on everytime the software is updated or whatever.

Ok, im maybe a little slow, but what does this mean to the homebrew secne? You state better combatability, but what does it mean in action? Also I cant really get ScummVMDS to save on my Supercard lite+SuperKey, anyone know how to fix it? =)

so ive downloaded the DoomDS shiz, i go to the DoomDS website and they give me a link to get a shareware/freeware version of a Doom .wad file, but i download it and none of the files in the .rar are a .wad file

help please?

Basically, it means that a homebrew program can read other files from the G6. Up until now data was only accessible if it was packed into the same file.

VERY cool indeed - homebrew was my main worry with my G6 (otherwise cool).
