Hi,

Since installing SD2Vita, my vita won't let me sign in to ps store with out updating system. I've tried inputting a different DNS number which resolves everyone else's issue but mine :(

Has anyone got a solution for me please?

I doubt installing SD2Vita affected your ability to sign in. Uninstall SD2Vita and let us know the exact error code you're getting when trying to log in.

I don't think this matters, but you might try deleting the id.dat on the root of ux0, then restart. it contains firmware version, and it will show 3.71 (the spoof) when it's recreated. the file is recreated when you restart, so there's no danger in doing this.

It must be as I was able to access psn without fail on henkaku. I don't really want to uninstall ps2vita as it was hard for me to get it working due to running into a few issues along the way.

I will try that and will let you know what the outcome is. Thanks.

You don't need to fully uninstall it, just hash out the plugin in config.txt. Given that YAMT 3.0 sets up SD2Vita automatically which is downloadable via the VBB, it's not difficult to set up if anything goes wrong.

So I've managed to access ps store but I still can't use network features in games as my vita is still telling me to update the system.. Surely if I can access store then I'll be able to use online features

Not really. While most games do, some other games even require some other annoying things to even let you attempt to go into their multiplayer menu (looking at you online passes).

If you already tried deleting the files mentioned above, you should have any problem connecting to PSN assuming you are spoofing to 3.71 already. Also, as previously stated, SD2Vita doesn't really affect your means of spoofing the FW, and we don't know which issues you encountered when setting up your SD2Vita.

Are you on FW 3.70 by any chance? If so, I recommend you downgrade of you will have issues with pretty much everything at various points (at least until everything it's updated for 3.70, which is unlikely as everything already works on the previous FWs and there's zero need to update things).

I've only tried to use online on 1 game to be honest so I'll have to try other games. I have managed to access the PlayStation store, the problem was, was that I didn't tick the 'enable version spoof' box but before that was ticked the version spoof was 3.71. I am currently on firmware 3.65 as I downgraded from 3.70 using the Trinity Exploit.

I tend to avoid accessing things that I don't know about incase it f**ks with henkaku and anything homebrew related so I try to make this forum my first point of call before trying things for myself.

Why did you downgrade to 3.65 and not 3.60?

I suspect a plugin issue going by what you're saying. Is there any reason you're running H-Encore instead of Enso?

Yeah, spoofing the FW version should let you sign in, activate and everything else you can do in the Store bubble. The only thing that comes to mind would be that your Vita maybe has already downloaded the update, which in turn asks you to update it everytime you try to sign in and/or go online, so you should delete the update file, found in either 'udo: PSP2UPDATE/' and in 'ux0:bgdl/' and see if that solves your issue.

What game are you trying to play online? (Soul Sacrifice Delta is the one that comes to mind if it doesn't let you go online to play).

Because there's literally no difference between actual firmware functionalities currently? The talk about "more stability" in 3.60 is just fan-fiction as technically every "must-have" plugin used (and still maintained) by the community works in the 4 latest exploitable firmwares, 3.60/3.65/3.67/3.68. And a lot of people can prove that, me included. Having to open a bubble, which takes a second to do, doesn't affect nor hinder the exploit's functionality.

Yeah, yeah, we know Enso is the "preferred FW because of permanent hack", but that's it. Not having Enso doesn't mean the plugins will fail or cause issues.

I asked OP those questions, not you. If you could wind your neck in, that'd be appreciated.

Salty much?

Because what you are saying doesn't make any sense. If you could educate yourself before you wind your neck in, that'd be appreciated.

Not salty at all, just confused why you decided to jump in when it doesn't progress anything. I asked OP a question. It makes sense to me, and with what answer the OP gives, I can help him further.

Please don't start flame wars with me. You're the one who has decided to butt in for some reason. Any further unnecessary flaming and I will be reporting you. I'm not asking you to understand why I'm asking the OP that.

I did a bit of research and people claimed that 3.65 was the better firmware to be on to run homebrew as more games were compatible and so on. I am running enso.

I have just downloaded call of duty to test online out on but if the problem still persists then I will try your method to solve the issue. The game I couldn't access online was hawaii shakedown, I'm not actually bothered about the online functionality as it's only for leader board purposes but I assumed if it didn't work on that game then online wouldnt work on others.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So like RikuNoctis said, some games work online fine as others don't. Call Of Duty works fine online but Shakedown Hawaii doesn't.

have you updated the game? Shakedown Hawaii has had some updates recently, if you don't have the latest update for the game you won't be able to access the online functionality

If you are using the PKGJ release for this game you might need to consider the fact that you are playing a US digital release on a european account - which is not possible as far as Sony is concerned

Can I still update a game without updating the system firmware?

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
