The most prominent ones I remember back in the day are the Mario 64 ones about how to get Luigi or how to ride on Yoshi in the game. I remember constantly trying different things in the attempt to unlock these only for them to be met with failure.
Also of course all of the hidden Pokemon that either were not obtainable legitimately in game (like Mew) and all the fake pokemon that never existed at all but were teased/made up with so many random ways to supposedly obtain them. I miss those chaotic days.
