I never saw any warning about using the WAD Installer v2 set up with more VC games than my Wii has space for...so I threw all the WADs I could find onto an SD card and ran the installer. After Kirby 64 and Pokemon Snap finished, it error'd on the rest and returned me to my Wii menu, which prompted me to delete stuff so I could free up enough space on the Wii before I continued using it.

By the time I'd deleted my fifth VC game, I noticed the "space remaining" was still zero. I deleted many more until it finally gave me about 100 blocks of space, but my channels menu is very sparse now. Shit.

So, how screwed am I? I'd reformat the system data, but that'll delete my Smash Bros. Brawl save, my Pokemon Battle Revolution save, my Everybody Votes data (I've voted every vote ever! whyy!), and my Check Mii Out data, since none of those can be copied to SD for some stupid reason. Is there anything I can do? Any way to back up these save files to later reload via homebrew or something? I calculated all the numbers up and my Wii now has about half the capacity of a proper Wii due to all this. What do I do!? [IMG]

Yeah, I ran the uninstaller and it didn't do anything at all. It didn't even uninstall the ones that successfully installed.

This should be a brilliant reminder to regularly back up your saves and channels.

Seriously, people need to take the stuff they install off the Wii and put it on a 2gig card or something. It takes about thirty seconds to delete one game and replace it with another game from your card.

You clearly read nothing of my post, because the only problem I have with formatting the Wii is the saved files that don't let you back them up to an SD card, like Brawl, Pokemon, and the Wii's downloaded channels (Everybody Votes, Check Mii Out, Internet). That can't be helped at all, and I'm hoping somebody makes a tool for that.

In the meantime, I'm taking the advice and properly using the uninstaller. I'll report back in a few minutes after I've tried.

I'm sorry, I don't really own any games that don't allow save backups; I didn't know those were among them. As for the channels, I know the internet channel will back up at the very least; I did it less than half an hour ago.

I'm talking about the save files, not the channels. I could care less about those since I can redownload them any day.

Anyway, I'm going to try the uninstaller now.

EDIT: Uninstaller only uninstalled the games that successfully installed, leaving the others alone. Help! [IMG]

Try reinstalling the ones that weren't installed correctly ... then uninstall them? If you have space remaining, that is.

I had the same, I installed 18 games at once and then my Wii said to delete some stuff, I deleted many and still remained to 0, I deleted the everybody vote channel, and all other useless channels, and got a few hundreds back, N64 are huge as hell! So just keep in mind that they're going to use a whole lot of space... I also deleted King of fighter 94 which was incredibly big.

I think you just have too many N64 titles or 3do... they're the biggest.

Well, I seemed to have fixed it, I think. I just deleted all my current channels to make room for the ones that screwed up before and installed them all properly. The size is now proper in relation to what a Wii should have in memory.

When you uninstall (a vc game wad) with uninstaller tool, you would not get the same free space you got before installing that vc wad game.
    Is this normal ?
