ROM Hack (U) & (E) Save converting

So there are a few games which i've originally started playing, which are (U) region games
When the (E) version comes out, i like to switch, and play it, but on some games, the (U) save wont work with the (E) game

Is there a way to edit the save so it does work?

There is no way to convert them, they either work or they dont.

Hm...I got a sort of similar question.

I have an US Pokémon Ranger save. I copied it for the EU version, and it's working fine so far.
The only problem I have is that the game remains in English.
Is there a way I could modify something in the savegame to make it use one of the other languages that are in the EU game?

A couple of games I tried worked fine with both versions (meaning a U save worked on E and an E saved worked on U). As far as I know there is no way to convert the saves. Most of the saves actually have a checksum or some other way to validate they are not edited so I doubt very much any type of conversion is possible.
