Team-Xecuter is back again with yet another small news update, this time for their recently announced SX GEAR dongle
    SXGearNow.jpg

They are happy to inform those that pre-ordered will be getting it in their hands to enjoy soon, and at the same time they announced details on how you use the dongle to auto-inject any payload you wish on boot-up.

As usual, you can grab the latest uploaded files from the SX Family portal website: --> sx.xecuter.com

Gary, I'd like to unsubscribe from your SX news, but unlike proper spam e-mails your threads lack that option.

so, boot.dat is must be in the root of the sd card? even when you are trying to launch reiNX?
that's not really for open source community 100%.

Shipping only for pre-orders or you can actually buy them now without preordering? I'd gladly buy one..

    what the point of this?
I mean with regular jig + sx os you can load external payload *.bin
does one or two "button press" make people buy stuffs ?
Truly a question, because I do not see the point at all^^

Still waiting for SX Note tho.

Also if it is under $10 (with shipping), it's not a bad deal.

There is a way of converting any payload to boot.dat

But this should supposedly automatically launch payload.bin on SD (if you provide their boot.dat)

Huh, so TX are the first to release a plain (no menus etc) payload chainloader. At least it exists now, would be nice to have an open source one tho.

This is pretty useful actually for anybody who already owns the SX Pro dongle. Grab the SX Gear boot.dat, get either the hekate or ReiNX payload and put it on yourSD card named payload.bin and you can now directly load Hekate or ReiNX without having to convert the payload to a boot.dat.

What's the news here. We already knew this thing was coming out or did come out. They announced that they are shipping preorders soon?

It works fine - I just did it myself.

If anything, it proves that SX Pro dongle and SX Gear are identical.

we are talking about "injecting the payload.bin in the dongle it self" can you inject any payload into SX Pro?

Nope. We are talking about their new boot.dat which loads payload.bin from SD.
I gave you a way of converting payload.bin to boot.dat.
    See that difference?
