Are you interested in a complete replacement of TwlBg which includes all patches?

Place this file next to your "mkpatch_b.exe" and rename the file to just "wide.bat" opposed too "wide.bat.txt" and run the bat file by double-clicking it.

That should give you the proper file

Alternatively..if you want to make your own batch file..put this in it

Code:
mkpatch_b asd 1010
Worked like a charm. Thank you so much :D

@Sono @Robz8 I'm really frustrated. I made a clean reinstall of TwilightMenu++ and it still doesn't run. I am certain I put the files in the correct folders.

Thanks. I'll try it out and see if I did something wrong.

Nothing changed, the game still goes to a black screen. I have a question, though. Is every TwlBg.cxi different from console to colsole?
Yes, it's different on each 3DS/2DS model.

I see... So let's say there are two 3DS of the same model. Would they have the same TwlBg.cxi?

It's actually version and hardware dependent. It's only different between "new" and "old" hardware versions, and firmware versions (I'm reverse engineering a pre-1.0.0 TwlBg, but the patches work on my 11.0 new3DS)

Thanks for widescreen patching.

My 15 year old self who bought a 3DS in 2011 is at peace. Whether or not me now actually wants to stretch pixels even more is another question...

This explains everything. My friend who patched the cxi for me has a New 3DS.

The 3DS version will have support for both, but the filter will only be applied on the Y matrix, so the filter will only be visible vertically, because the widescreen patch HAS TO write an identity matrix in order to enable proper stretching. This could be easily fixed, but not now. I still have to do the automatic pattern generation for unique matrixes to work.

Wait, 3DS version as opposed to the 2DS? Why is there a distinction?

@Robz8 I did the patching correctly with my own section0.bin and when I start the game, the top screen is all glitchy and the bottom screen has an error message "Start failed. Error 1"

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the 3DS version of the patcher (aka the .cia that can be installed to/used via the home menu) in comparison to the PC patcher that was released yesterday.

After all, the 2DS systems are part of the 3DS family.
