[ YAWMM wasn't the cause. The black screen wasn't a brick, or not even a soft brick. I simply left a non fully compatible USB flash drive that forced Priiloader into a loop and prevented the menu from appearing until removal. Apologies. ]

You dragged priiloader and yawmm's names through the mud and low and behold they had nothing to do with your issues. Next time if u have problems like this, perhaps don't make claims you know nothing about and throw around accusations willy nilly

Also one of the most common troubleshooting steps is to remove all non essential peripherals.

Hello,

I totally agree with you. :yaywii:

Wish you would have suggested it when it mattered. You proposed nothing useful when you could have helped. So guess where you can shove that patronising tone now.
when you don't know too much about the problems concerning the wii, you ask for help kindly on the forum, or you read, listen to what people say.
it's not with your sentences that you post on the forum, that you're going to make a lot of friends.
it's weird, you say I'm going to buy an external hard drive to replace your USB keys, surprising right?

don't take it badly, these are only suggestions.:hrth:

i wish you good luck in the future. :D

Personal opinion:

for me USB keys, it's always been a problem (blocking, doesn't read the USB key........)

Was gonna say something similar to the above just based on reading the title but seems we have one of these "Shaggy" type users.... "wasn't me"

I've been using Yawmm for years on my personal Wii and have never bricked, even when installing a trucha bug patched version of IOS80 (allows loading installed channels from SD card in system menu).

Also, from your other thread, you installed Bootmii as an IOS, which will NOT save you from an IOS / system menu brick.

When you're done teaching me manners here
That could take awhile 😂😂

JK

Regarding your "sneek" question (it's actually an emunand question unrelated to sneek), I'm doing some digging but don't want to share my speculative thoughts until if/when I'm 100% certain. Last time you didn't like that I shared ideas that turned out not to be useful

I have another open thread about Sneek. When you're done teaching me manners here, I'd like to hear some suggestions.
you always can restore your working NAND backup and start over. that is the better way to get out of a brick.

if you don't have one, you can create a blank NAND using ohneschwanzenegger (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Ohneschwanzenegger https://github.com/trapexit/wiiqt) but you need your console keys in order to use that tool.

From the readmii of that tool:
It needs to have a copy of the first 8 blocks of nand, a list of bad blocks, and AES & hmac keys. All of this data can be gotten from a bootmii nand dump, even if that nand is bricked.
