Two men steal over 100 copies of CoD:BO at gunpoint.

Handgun-wielding robbers who burst into a video-game store in Harford County over the weekend made off with more than just cash. They also stole more than 100 copies of the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: Black Ops," which won't go on sale until Tuesday.

At least two men were involved in the robbery, timing it for when the GameStop in the Festival at Bel Air shopping center on Bel Air South Parkway was about to close on Saturday night, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said Sunday. The men, armed with semi-automatic guns, stole four cases full of "Black Ops" — the newest game in the popular "Call of Duty" series — as well as cash and game systems.

[...]

While the robbery at the Bel Air store was under way on Saturday, two customers stopped by and were forced into a storage area at gunpoint. Neither they nor store employees were hurt, the sheriff's office said.[/p]

I guess they figured a game store wouldn't have the kind of security a pawn or jewelry store would, and they'd be able to sell off the copies without worrying about being tracked like with a gun or other valuable object.

One of the reasons why my boss and I couldn't punch and kick the hell out of each other when we were working(At Gamestop) was because of the security cameras.
Many people think security cameras at Gamestop stores are never on or working, when it's actually quite the opposite, thankfully.

These guys were fools.
Desperate ones XD
I hope the game was worth jailtime and never being able to play it for a while.

I mean, since the risk is a lot smaller than the bank, and you get less with robbing a store..

I'm sure they could sell it for more than $40. Even more if it wasn't coming out tomorrow, so by the time they shipped it, it'd already be in shops.

wow...these release groups are getting desperate to leak the game...

is this plan B?

Plan A was to leak it on the intenet....but the dumb fuck on youtube (who most likely endangered a high ranking releaser) showed the game and everything...so the pigs tracked him down...and "talked" to him...

these guys obviously dont know what torrents are about

where were the security guards? a company as big as GS should atleast have stronger protection from these things though losing like 8000$ isnt much of a problem (with insurance) but losing the game systems would be quite a blow
if ppl are getting their games thru stealing, then grow up

PS - CoD-BO is already out ie. clone dvd version.
