    Hello Tempers,

I recently bought a new HDTV LCD TV. Then I tried to play with my European wii, I noticed that everything was slowed down under 50 herz. So I changed it to 60herz but now the screen is flickering like hell but it is running smoothly. I need to know how to stop the flickering.

Does your TV actually support 60hz, if you have another tv you should test your wii on it.

You could try component cables also to see if it helps.

Blink really quickly while playing. If you can get the blink rate the same as the refresh rate it will look smooth.....

I would go with the TV either not supporting 60Hz (if its new I would find that unusual) or the cables as stated.

What does it play like in 50Hz?

In 50 herz it feels like it´s slowed down and if you play little kings story as an example it is blurry as hell. In 60herz it is not like the whole screen is flickering. It´s only around letters or something but not the whole screen. Might buy a component cable and see if it will help.

Btw my TV is canadian and my wii is europe,so may that also have something to do with that?

Might be somewhat related...but I'd recommend getting component cables then trying out 480p. PAL and NTSC are hardly compatible though, but I don't think HDTVs have problems like that...

Component cables are great, though when I tried them on my sisters TV GH: WT slows down :S
