So I recently bought a 40" TV to use in my room, and I am also using it as a computer monitor (mostly for games but also for when I get too lazy to move). Like the title says, whenever I use it as a monitor, everything's zoomed in. All the buttons, apps, icons, etc. are bigger. (On Windows 8.1) I right clicked the desktop and went to screen resolution, and it's set to 1080p. I also went into CCC, and it's also set to 1080p. I also went into Paint, took a screenshot, and the dimensions are 1920x1080. It feels like it's in 720p (or smaller) mode, though. Anyone know of any fixes for this? The whole screen shows, but everything's blown up.

I have my computer hooked up to my TV, but I'm using Windows 7.

Right Click/ Personalize/ display / make icons and text smaller.

That do anything?
Damn, you're good. I guess when my computer recognized it was plugged into a TV, it changed its scale. Took it down a notch and it's much better, thanks.
