THIS IS OUTDATED, FOR RUNNING HOMEBREW PLEASE SEE THIS TUTORIAL:
    https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-hacking-101-how-to-launch-the-homebrew-menu-on-all-fw.504012/

    DISCLAIMER:
I am not responsible if you break a pin, or somehow brick your Switch, proceed at your own risk.

    Also:

(Work in progress will be edited with more detailed instructions and images later)

    What you will need

    Setup

    Instructions:

Make sure you have downloaded the required files and that they are all in the same folder before starting.

    1. Turn your Switch off and remove the joy con.

    2. Locate the right joy con rail there are pins that connect the joy con to the Switch in handheld mode located at the bottom of rail. (Image coming)

    3. Use the metal (small tweezers etc.) to join pin 9 and 10 together, they are the last pins facing the back of the Switch (away from the screen)

    4. Connect the Switch to the PC and hold Volume + during boot (keep the pins connected)

    5. Run the payload file:

Put fusee.bin in the fusee launcher folder. Open a terminal in the folder and write the following code once the Switch is in RCM.

    Code:
    sudo python3 ./fusee-launcher.py fusee.bin

(again this will be updated to be easier to understand with images etc. asap)

Thank you very much for writing this. So what additional step must be taken to run homebrew? When you boot this payload does it simply show the black screen with text? What's the extent of the exploit for now?

Right now it only shows some protected irom information (text and a black screen). devs need to develop payloads to use it. I presume Plutoo and others are working on it as we speak, but I don't have any details to share, will be announced through official channels once there are payloads working.

Yes that's all you get for now. A black screen with text. Eventually it'll run stuff but for now (from the RS side of things) it only does that. Maybe someone else will make their own project and get it out sooner. For now it's all about waiting for what RS has to offer

whens the youtube tutorial with font size 40 notepad with no word wrap so I can't see the whole sentence?

don't forget the hypercam watermark that's important

it also has to be split up into 50, 30second parts.

Congratulations on being the third person, I had the pleasure to answer their personal question for - in the last hour, by re-posting this:
    src: https://gbatemp.net/threads/fail0verflow-drops-bomb-on-twitter.501825/page-4#post-7931471

This qualifies you for your millenial badge of never ever leaving the scrolling feed you are in, to look at different things, or sources for articles, or the actual page an article was quoted from, or even click through to a different website your smartphone would have to load then. Facebook has taught you well.

Also, this question has now spread across three active threads (not limited to only once every 5 pages in any one of those threads), which does show you the true potential of thread jacking, if applied by just as many people as possible - at random (in this thread, its actually the most appropriate, so thumbs up :) ).

    What could go wrong?

    ;)

(Put up big disclaimers stating, that this does not run enduser targeted homebrew, right now... Then brace for impact. ;) )

I feel the need for a thread to have the fact that right now, even with the bootrom exploit being public now, there is nothing right now for 95% of users. Granted, that number was 99% before the exploit was public since the number of people who can actuallu develop stuff is small, but still honestly not much has changed.

Ehm, if it supports USB 3, and you can run a x64 Linux distro I don't see why not.
