I want to make a rom hack that compiles to CIA, and for that to work I need the DecryptedExheader.dat. You said that the one made by braindump won't work, where do I get/make a DecryptedExheader.dat file that works in the 3DS Builder?

(assuming you were talking to me)

I get all the way up to the Extracting section, but when I go to extract the files, I get a bunch of errors and it skips straight to asking if I want to decompress. I tested not typing anything in when it asks which files to extract, and I generally get the same error. Is the .3ds files that I decrypted suppose to be found exactly where I originally put it, in the D9Game folder? After using the second method in your guide, using decrypt9UI, I don't see any additional files in any of my SD card's folders or in the D9Game folder, just the same Pokemon X (USA).3ds that I originally put in. I got the same confirmation screen after Decrypt9 ran as you posted on your guide. Am I missing something here?

What kind of joke is this ?
I tried to install a fire emblem hack but the generated game file has half of the size of the input file.

Yeah, when I try to convert 3DS to CIA I get "Wrong XORpad?" even though I have the XORpad for DBH: Ultimate Mission 2. The version I have doesn't have Firmware spoof, is that necessary? (I'm not using the CIA tutorial until you make the Rebuild part, I don't get the ORAS custom update tutorial)

…You are asked if you want decompress your code.bin file, choose (y/n)…
I chose n when I should have chosen y… I think… I don't know what's stopping the patch from running, my guess is because the code is still compressed.

So now I have to re-extract everything to get at the code.bin…

It'd be nice if there was an option for just code.bin, with the choice of compressed or decompressed inside it, too.

Not now.
I didn't see what's wrong (I guess i know, though).
In waiting, try to move the PackHack folder in your C:/ path, because I'm sure you have spaces in your current path

My apologies. I tend to refer to anyone online I don't know\remember the gender of by the pronoun my mind associates with them, which the algorithm for is not really understood by me, but your avatar, and name (Asia81) both lean towards feminine, so I choose to use the female pronoun.

I did not intend to offend.

Ok thanks!
I wait the link :rofl::rofl2:

RomFS Extractor
RomFS Builder
--------------------------
EDIT:
These seem to be the programs that the Opening Post is referencing.
I had to download them separately, because the OP's extraction program doesn't handle Japanese filenames inside .bin files very well, and the game I was extracting had a lot of japanese-named files to be extracted.

And the builder part of the program in HackPack doesn't seem to work at all, even without spaces in the directory\file path.
