Well... A general tutorial on how to compile ANYTHING might be more useful but the only difference really would be the title of the thread
wink2.gif

There are no special steps to compiling softchip...
Would you include all platforms?

OK guys,
as requested by NeoGodSpeed, here's my complete pack for compiling SoftChip:

From the readme:

Please extract this to C:\. A folder C:\devkitPro\ will appear after installation.
Some other tools like an SVN client and Autoinjectuwad are included as well.

Run C:\devkitPro\projects\wii\make_wii-softchip.bat to download the latest SoftChip revision from SVN, compile it, and pack it into a wad file.

Good luck!

Have fun.

Note: if you have problems compiling, delete the whole C:\devkitPro\projects\wii\wii-softchip folder before running the batch file. It will then be downloaded again automatically.

Is this post still active? hmmm, I have a problem running the batch file, when downloading the latest softchip source, it occurs to be an error. It says "run SVN cleanup", how do I do that? I mean what should be done to run SVN cleanup.

I'm sorry, i forgot about that. We had a guide how to compile SoftChip already on out page. (Windows, Linux and Max OS i think)

I think the setup and the compiling itself is not the problem, it's svn. Basically you only need to(on WinXP, Vista is generally buggy):
1. Install DevKitPro
2. Reboot(!)
3. Get a svn client like TortoiseSVN (right click in explorer for all functions)
4. Set the svn client to download the SoftChip repository to a folder of your choice
5. Create a project in programmer's notepad

and then when a new version was uploaded:

6. Let the svn client download the update
7. Open the project in programmer's notepad and hit make

This will provide the .dol, and you will only get support from me or other SoftChip member's(0 at the moment) until this point. Other tutorials especailly more noob friendly ones are welcome or even ones with wad creation.

PS: Did not see that a months old thread was bumped...

Translated by google .....

Hi,

I regret not speak 100% English, I learned a lot in this forum, and I really really like the homebrew on the wii.

I need someone to help me with this issue of softChip, I need the following configuration by default:

QUOTE said:
Default IOS: IOS 249 (rev14)

Game's Languaje: System Default
Patch Country Strings: Disabled
September Video Mode using: Force Wii region
Fake IOS version: Enabled
Request Load IOS: Enabled
Autoboot: Enable
Silent: Disable
Logging: Disable

I have knowledge of c++ 30% but I could not properly handle the DevkitPro.

I hope someone can help me with this compilation since I need to play GH5 and RB2. My port of the Wii SD harm, so I could no longer use the SoftChip.

Thanks.
