The Toy Top DS is avalible at minionlinestore.com for 16Pounds, which is 1/2 of the 30 that it was annunced for.

It is only the standard version though, so it does not include the GBA game attachment, which lets you use the DS web browser and can play GBA games. It does not include the rumble pack either.

Hmm... it seems to be the same price as Dealextreme's R4 (the cheapest one available).
If the compatibility is good, the Toy Top could be a major competitor.

Sounds and looks intriguing! I really like the GUI and the ROM information it offers.
Does anybody know, if you could buy the Slot2 add-ons seperately though? minionlinestore doesn't even offer them. But if the GBA pak works as well as advertised, I'd like to be able to add it later on.

    Most likely its overheating, prob needs new thermal paste on cpu/ gpu. That stuff after years dries up become crusty n no longer works to transfer the heat.

    Doesn't sound like it if it worked fine before, other things to check is visually check USB and hdmi (if it has) ports for damage.

    Other possibility is a bad power supply block. I'd start with replacing thermal paste, cause if you never have, it definitely needs new paste.

    @salazarcosplay When it shuts off on its own, does the power supply light show red or orange light? If its red, most likely bad power supply. Orange is normal off, green when powered on, red is a fault.
