I am trying to upgrade the capacity of my 3DS from 16gb to 64gb, copied everything on my old micro sd to my computer then copied all the files to my new micro sd, put the new one in my 3DS but it wont boot.

Any solutions?

Is the MicroSD card formatted as exFAT or FAT32? SDXC devices are factory formatted as exFAT, so if you didn't reformat it, you'll need to do so.

(Note that Windows' built-in formatting tools will not let you format a device larger than 32 GB as FAT32, so you'll need to get a third-party formatting program.)

EDIT: Didn't refresh the page when replying, so everyone else already basically said this. :V

use easus partition master and format the 64gb microsd card to FAT32. AFter that is done, you can then use it.

I did this and on easus it says it is formatted as FAT32, but when I copied my files over and attempted again it still won't work

If you have a9lh , you can launch emunand9 with your 1st SD and select format SD no emunand then put the second sd and format it
( Formatting with emunand9 is better i think )

This I can confirm works, however if he's on A9LH already, he should format it without emunand.
