Hacking Question Trying to inject payload on new patched swtich

Hi!. Im new at this group (sorry my english is not that good). So i want to ask you if first when my new swtich arrived i tried to inject a payload but obviously, because it is patched, it failed when injecting. The thing is if i can go online without been worry about getting banned because of that. I mean if i tried to inject a payload to the new swtich and it failed because it is patched, does the console store something inside that can get me banned? or is ok to go online?
