please specify what kind of error?

if you have the latest d3-2 drive. you cannot run burned games.

Download and install the latest CIOS38 rev17. I think there is an automated downloader on gbatemp, but you can get the files required via an easy Google search. It contains copyrighted material so it can't be hosted publicly, but there are rapidshare links and the such floating around. Google is your friend.

ok, I installed everything needed to play burnt games and it still doesn't work. I am currently trying to play No More Heroes 2 and I get the same error (DVD Read Error 1051) but without cIos at the end. What can I do? I already have neogamma R8 verison 17 set up and it still gives me errors but recognizes that I have IOS 249 installed. What do I do from here. Getting a bit desperate.

Thanks for the response but i don't want an automatic loader. If you can get me the most recent version of neogamma as just an install then that would be great but if all there is an automatic loader then I don't want to use it.

OK, since I have done everything right so far, I'm pretty sure there has to be files that I'm missing. I have CIOS 249 installed through cIOS Installer 38r17 which is located here
    http://filetrip.net/f9426-cIOS-Installer-38r17.html

    along with these CIOS files

    cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad
    cIOS222[38+37]-v4.wad
    cIOS223[38]-v4.wad
    cIOS249-v17.wad
    cIOS250-v17.wad
    IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad

all installed through Wad Manager 1.5.

I have NeoGamma R17 which is the one giving me problems. What do I do? What am I missing

did that. same problem, except this version (RC3) doesn't even give me an error message. just goes back to the neogamma menu. Takes longer to start up too.

well then... somethings not right here... instead of trying to figure it out, just start from the beginning of xzxero's stickied softmod guide.... update to 4.2 via ninty's servers, then start from the beginning of the guide and try again... in theory if u do/did everything right it should work

    good luck

Before you do that crapmonkey what are you using to burn the game and what type of DVD's are you using?
