I had a lot of troubles with the switch method but in the end the dns exploit worked. Now that I can boot in to the minute menue I'm not sure what I need to do.

I made the ntsc partion on my SD and added the INI but for rebuilding the MLC it says to use the otp.bin , and that file is no where to be fond. Looks like I get it from the recovery menue but the system boots to the minute menue now, how can I go back?

Ok the DNS exploit worked..
You dump it in minute, like the guide told you to
oh...
  1. Dump SEEPROM & OTP
I thought that was an optiiobnal backup of the wiiu..duh thx.

it never flashed blue, instead it turned on blue and purple. On the screen lots of text ending in jumping to IOS. It did write all of the blocks. Should I remove the wafel_setup_mlc.ipx and reboot back in and repeat?

Oh, I do see redotp.bin not found at the top?
Post automatically merged:

Looks like no wafel_setup_mlc.log. was made either.
It made seeprom.bin and seeprom_decrypted.bin

Found a topic saysing this was a bug but the solution was to use an older wafel with minute, but no combination seems to work for me.

Its the latest and no never said it worked. I get that error (redotp.bin not found) on the most recent of both files. You said on another post it was a bug, but the solution was to use an older file with mnute, that didnt work for me.

Oh thx! So its safe to say the process worked? I did see all block wring ok. I didnt seem to do much was very fast so I was concerned it ddidnt work.

I saw this

I didnt know what "Follow through with the initial setup. After the "settings" part of the setup, " meant.

I get I need to remove the ipx and I get running the "Patch (sd) and Boot redNAND" but was unsure about what the setup was?

The power LED will flash blue, while it is installing the titles. -- Never changed from purrple.
if something goes wrong the LED will turn orange, but it will continue as long as it is blinking.--not blinking
The LED will become static once it finished. You can now power off the console.--I guess it just was fast?
During the setup a short log gets written to the SD: wafel_setup_mlc.log.-- no log was made
In the end it will enable the inital setup on the next boot.--never booted still see the same screen, purple led.

make sure minute, stroopwafel and the setup plugin are all the latest version
I'm no where near familure enough with these programs to know that, I just grabbed the latest.

I'm guessing minute is this? ( renamed to fw.img as instructed)

Those files are all put in the correct place from the guide and I grabbed the exact versions as shown. If I have the right files, I can re downlaod and over right them.

And you are using the second option to boot? What does your rednand.ini look like?

The setup is the wafel_setup_mlc.ipx

Strange. Make sure the SD isn't write locked and dump the system logs and post them.
After that run the setup again and dump the logs again to see if new logs were written

Ran it again, and it now is steady blue.

"In the end it will enable the inital setup on the next boot.". Its just a stedy blue light, If I shut it off after the LED is steady and power it back on, is just gives me back the original menu. How do I get the inital setup on the next boot

log:

Anything left?
