I've opened dozens of NES's and l've never seen a 2A03 that looks like this before. Really stands out to me. Been searching the web for awhile but can't find anything on it. Kinda looks like a Rockwell 6502 chip and it has a Mexico stamp on the underside. Thinking maybe Nintendo had another company producing 2A03's as a backup incase Ricoh couldn't keep up with demand. Anyone have any ideas on this?
