I'm kinda new to all the homebrew stuff, what with the release of the Homebrew Channel. I'd just like to know what Trucha signed discs do; can it boot on an un-modded Wii? I don't have a chip for it and I don't really intend to get one, but if I put Trucha onto a disc, would it boot? If not, what do I need to make it boot, because apparently Gecko's Region Free can boot it.

Trucha signing allows you to open up a wii .iso on your computer, modify the code in some way, and then make it run on your wii.

At the moment you still need a modchip to boot any kind of backup.

(though as you may have noticed from the drama, there may be a way to do it without sometime soon)
