I don't know if this is the right place for this post, but here goes:

I'm using an R4 SDHC card, with v 1.25 Firmware.

I downloaded the latest cheat database from gbatemp, and opened it with Yasu's R4cce .86...I opened the cheat list for Mario Kart DS, and checked "Enable Game" option.
I applied with "All Cheats on option from the R4cce menu and saved the Cheat.dat file, which I then copied on to my R4 system folder..

However, no cheat option appears when I run the game...what is wrong? I want this to work with firmware 1.25 if possible
Note I run Yasu R4bugfixer on my DS_MENU.dat...but got this message: error! not NDS file...does this have any effect on whether the cheats appear for the game?

Please help

thank you

can you send me the official site of your r4 sdhc
sorry thats too many of them... basically i have no idea which r4 sdhc you are talking about

a quick fix would be try using usrcheat.dat
or
use r4cce delete all those useless games until 1 left

sometimes it could also a problem that you should ENABLE CHEATS and GAMES from the menu itself
then only the cheat options would available

I've been working on making a wheel controller with arduino, 3d printed round knob, and a potientometer.to play breakout and games like that. Kinda of like the old Atari 2600 controllers.

@FlareReZ what language would you reccomend to start with, to learn DS coding? Just curious
  • FlareReZ @ FlareReZ:
devkitPro by defaults use C and C++. So I suppose you start off with C first and then move onto C++.

  • FlareReZ @ FlareReZ:
Because C++ is more complex than C.
