Hacking Tried hacking my 2ds (old and 11.9.0-42) build

So I tried hacking my 2ds that I bought, and went through the steps given on the 3ds hacks guide, however, to my dismay when i was on page section 2 i think (the part where you have to access steel diver) and done the steps necessary; I got an error message saying that something went wrong so I thought that I might have messed up somewhere. Repeated the same steps and the same problem arises, then I just tried to factory reset the 2ds and try again, however, this time it just goes on the main screen of steeldiver and pops a message saying save file corrupted. Tried resolving it by placing my payload and code bin files from steelhax onto the data file of the game (where you place the sav file), as someone suggested that it works, but sadly I kept getting the same message.

First of all: Do not randomly delete things. “Format System Memory” makes things actually worse. In short: This changes the encryption key and makes all previous data – including the manipulated save for “Steel Diver: Sub Wars” – useless. (The old save is only garbage data now)

As far as I know you will have to repeat the mining process and generate a new save. Once you have a save for the current encryption key refer to this page: https://3ds.eiphax.tech/issues.html in case of persisting problems (click on “Steelminer/Steelhax” and after that on the error that you have on the screen to get instructions).

Steel Diver crashing with an error message usually means you have the wrong “otherapp” payload. Correct region, firmware version and old/new are all important. In your case most likely “Old 11 9 0 42 E” on the download page.
