    Hello GBAtemp 3DS community!

So i have finally decided to go out and pick me up the new Nintendo 3ds a week ago and ordered my copy of Sky 3ds for my backups. Is there any possible way whatsoever to transfer my game save of Xenoblade Chronicles 3ds to my backup on Sky 3ds? I've only heard that they are two different type of save files, and I may essentially be SoL. Is there any possible way to get around this? Perhaps a way to convert the file types to fit nice and neatly on the MicroSD card or something? Please don't flame me alive for asking a question that may or may not have been asked a dozen times. Thanks!!!

You need a 6.X-9.2 3ds to do that.

Even if he had the right version, wouldn't you still need a gateway card to actually dump the saves from the retail cart to a backup? Then you'd have to load them through the sky3ds program and hope it works. No?

Nope, he can use rxtools on the old3ds or the pasta cfw on the new.
