Hey guys! I have searched here and Google on this subject, so basically I have two New 3DS XL systems that have cfw (a9lh + Luma 3ds). On my red system, I want to back up some save files, and transfer them to my black system (three 3DS games, and 2 injected GBA games).

    How would I accomplish this?

Also, how can I back up a save game on my Super Mario 3D Land cart to my cfw 3DS?

For the 3DS games, use JKSV : https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-jks-savemanager-homebrew-cia-save-manager.413143/
It's pretty self-explanatory. Works with carts and digital versions.

For GBA games, Decryp9 has an option to dump and inject GBA saves :
    - Launch the game you want to inject to / dump from
    - Shutdown the 3DS
    - Launch Decrypt9 as an arm9 payload (should be START at boot)
    - SysNAND Options > Miscellaneous > GBA VC Save Dump/Inject
    - Repeat for each game, and do the same on the target 3DS to inject the saves.

Yep it does work. Just make sure to hit "Refresh Games" in JKSV. :)

I used the Export Save option on my red N3DSXL, transfered the saves to the SD car on my black N3DSXL (sd://jksv/saves), and chose Import Save, but it says, "Error Opening save archive!

Now as far as GBA saves, I booted up my N3DSXL using START, it booted to hourglass9, and it didn't let me choose a save file for each game. Just one 64kb save file. When I went to inject it, it says the file is corrupt

You need to open each game at least once to import/export the save. :)
Simply open the game and quit, then retry importing.

You had to save with Decrypt9, not JKSV. DId you do that?

Well when I held START down when I powered on my red N3DSXL, it opened Hourglass9. I then went to miscellaneous -> GBA VC Save Dump. The resulting file in the files9 folder, I copied to the files9 on my black system.

It only dumps one game, the last one you played. You made sure to reinject into the same game you dumped from? :)
    just making sure. :)

Ahh gotcha. I didn't know that I have to open one GBA game, do a save dump, transfer to my other 3DS, inject, and repeat for each game.

Now as far as 3DS games, I am not sure what I am doing wrong

Yup, gotta do each game one by one.

For the 3DS games, I said it in my previous post. :)
You just need to open the games once, then it will work. It needs to initialize the save data once. :)
