Emulation Transferring Save Files From GBA Emulator to GBA Cartridge

Hi, this did not work for me. I'm using an R4 card to transfer my Pokémon Emerald Emulator .sav to my Cartridge. The only thing that works is saving a backup from the cartridge and restoring that same data onto slot -2. For example I had a save backed up onto the R4 from the original cartridge and was able to copy that same .sav over to another copy of Pokémon Emerald. Clearly there is some issue with the Emulator ROM .Sav, but I can't figure out a solution, nor can I find a forum that does.

You're going to have to provide more details. What emulator are you using? Is the .sav file created by the emulator exactly the same size as the .sav file on your R4 card? Your emulator might have a specific "export" function for situations like this.
