mah computer says that I have to format my sd card in order to view it. It's one for my digital camera and I've connected it to the pc via the camera (+ usb cables). What can I do(?) because there are a quite a few pics that I want to keep...

I dont have a card reader btw. Thanks

Hmm... You could use file undeleters to find traces of those pics, and possibly recover it.

Don't format. That must be some kind of error. If the card works in your camera, you should be able to transfer the pictures to the computer without formatting the card.

How sure are you that would work on external storage? I'd probably leave this as a last option...

The card does save new pics, just tested it out a min ago.

Last option? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
You make it sound as if the Universe will be destroyed if you do that. It all depends on the software you are using, it is simple and effective.
Infact I used it on a hard drive that lost its master boot record.

    Don't... format... the card...

I'd suggest it's about time to go pick up a cheapy card reader.
If that doesn't read it, I've had much success grabbing pics with a program designed to scrounge for pics from wonky cards.
They usually cost typical shareware amounts, but are nice to have in the toolbox.
